An Expanded Explanation
The Word at Large is a six-week Zoom poetry and short story workshop that follows a multidirectional approach to investigate the writing and revision processes. (1) Published poetry and fiction texts will be read and discussed as writing models; (2) prompts will be used to assist in generating pieces to strengthen writing muscles; and (3) the mysterious revision process will be unpacked.

Although the workshop is structured in six-week sessions, it will be ongoing and is designed specifically for those who are interested in establishing a long-term community. It begins on Wednesday, June 11 and meets from 6 to 8:30 pm. Enrollment is limited to five writers.
